This ensures the construction of a stable and robust noise barrier. Larch wood, with its light and natural coloring, particularly complements green areas. Resistant to chemicals and extremely durable, larch wood’s high resin content ensures dimensional stability, minimizing warping or expansion over time.
Structure and Properties
The effective noise protection system comprises a deep foundation with foundation piles and a concrete base. Foundation piles, either driven or drilled, are employed. The noise protection effect, sound insulation, and absorption are provided by noise protection cassettes made of larch heartwood.
Climatewall manufactures these cassettes in-house, enabling flexible design and manufacturing of noise protection elements. The wooden noise barrier can be equipped with doors and gates upon request, can be combined with glass, aluminum, and concrete, and can be designed to be highly absorbent on one or both sides. Noise protection and sound insulation are thus provided equally from both sides.
